Why 21 city pages do more than one "region page"

D-Kozijnen came to me as an existing site to maintain. One of the biggest steps afterwards: a dedicated page per city, with real local context.

Someone searching "window frames The Hague" does not want a national brochure. Google knows that - and rewards pages that are genuinely about The Hague. So D-Kozijnen got no copy-paste template but 21 city pages with real context: neighbourhoods, common housing types, installation practice per region.

What makes the difference

A copied page with just a different city name gets recognised as a duplicate and ignored. A page with real local content ranks on its own. That is how you build visibility that does not collapse after one update.

The effect is measurable. In the first two months after the city pages went live, organic traffic from Google rose by 50 percent. That is not the ceiling: local pages build their positions over months, so we expect further growth.

On top of that: nine languages with proper hreflang, a price calculator that brings in leads, and speed that is monitored every month. Findability is not a one-off job - it is maintenance.

The price calculator, or the other half of the job

Findability brings people in, but someone who has just landed on a window-frame site has one question: what does it cost. That is why D-Kozijnen got its own calculator. The client picks the manufacturer, the number of panes, the size, the colour and the extras, and then sees an indicative price before even asking for a quote. Four product groups, a 3D preview, a cart and a complete dossier by email, all in nine languages.

The most important part, though, is what you do not see. The system is calibrated so that the real quote always comes out a fraction lower than what the calculator showed the client. Never the other way around. That single decision drastically increases the chance the final quote is accepted, because the client gets no unpleasant surprise, only a pleasant one.

I apply the same pattern to other projects: structure first, then content that adds up, then monthly adjustment to what people actually search for.
